I have just been told that the rear bodykit piece on my VRX cannot be plastic welded to give me duelies so i'm thinking of just changing to a Ralliart bar for sale that already has the duel cut-outs.
The question i have though is can the VRX rear flares be modified or used in any way to fit with the Ralliart bar as i don't have the funds to buy flares as well.

It will never look 100%, the ralliart flares are wider then vrx flares so it might not look right.

The VR-X Flares will be too long into the rear as they overlapped the factory rear bumper and will need to be cut short and then rolled or blended to meet the pre-flare that exists on the Ralliart Bar.
Buy Ralliart flares if the guy has them, will look off modding VR-X flares...

Won't look right, you're better off with ralliart flares.
Also I'm surprised to hear you can't modify the vrx rear for dual cut outs? Others have done it and it is good quality ABS plastic, should be able to bend it easily.

Thanks for the replies.
Apparently the guy said that with this type of plastic, as soon as he hits it with some heat it will turn to powder.
Mal is one of the guys who has a rear bar and the flares but by the time i buy them and arrange freight i'm up for over $1000 and that doesn't include painting which will probably be a few hundred more which is a lot just to have an extra hole for an exhaust on the opposite side of the car!!
I think i'l l try a couple of more panelbeaters.

The one Mal has is also just a cut out, not a flared cut out. To do the vrx one, could you not get a spare section from the other side and do it that way? Have it cut and welded

That was the plan as i do have two pieces that i want to cut and weld but this guy is insistant it can't be done as this type of plastic disintegrates with heat.
Maybe this is his way of saying he doesn't want to do it so i'll try elsewhere.
Thanks for the heads up on Mal's bar too.

I was under the impression that the VR-X plastic was the same as the ralliart plastic, in which case he's full of it as I, and many other ralliart owners have had to plastic weld their front bars due to splits.

Your panel beater is a douche, we have had this done several times including modding a VRX rear kit to fit a wagon
