I installed my parras quite a while back and i swear i didnt have an electrical problems before. For example:

- Open door at night and no lights will come on, (red ones on doors and main ones will come on randomly)

The thing is i highly doubt its a loose wire or anything as i can be sitting there, car door open getting some stuff out then randomly it (or part of) the electronics come back.

It was also pointed out to me tonight by a mate. When driving at night without braking all rear lights are fine, once i start braking one of my rear parker lights turns off. I reckon i may have wired it up wrong but is it possible to cause all these problems?

Thanks, John

Could be. When I was fitting LED brake light bulbs and inserted it with wrong polarity (it is a trial and error installation) and then turning on the parkers to see if it is the correct polarity, the high-mount brake light will come on instead. Seen plenty of other cars, especially Early 90's Falcons with the same behaviour as yours when the brakes are depresed and were due to faulty wiring.

This is pretty common. I see it on a lot of cars on the road. Generally it will simply be a bad connection on either a tail-light globe itself, a globe holder, or a connection to a globe holder.

I very much doubt its related to anything else you have done...

As for the interior light... Have you checked the simple things?? Like the Switch is set to "DOOR" and/or the Globe actually works?

Yep. One of the Outlanders from lights was intermittent. Thought it was wiring issue but was a fault with the festoon bulb. The filament looked ok but the ends must be lose. Since fitted LED type and no more intermittent lights.
