Junked my TJ factory CD player 2 years ago for that very reason. CD reading head can't read the CD.

If it is only one non-commercial CD, it's probably a badly burnt CD, but if no commercially pressed audio CDs work at all, you can safely assume the CD player is worn out. Not to worry, current after market CD players are cheap, under $100, and will play mp3 audio.
It is a stacker? Also, is it a burnt CD?

Hi . yes is a commerical CD,
I haven't had this car long only 2 months and its mostly been away getting tidied up,
I also have a Nokia Bluetooth car kit, will that still work if I get another unit and will the display dim as well
I see you can get wiring loom adaptors

From memory, E--6 means stacker error (jammed) that is why I asked if your's is a stacker. You have not answered that.
Some after market units won't dim with the lights on. As for the bluetooth car kit, it depends on the after market unit. Best to post in In-Car Entertainment (ICE) section to get more answers.
