Somehow, Somewhere my rear lower control arm has decided it would rather be bent than straight.. Causing odd tyre wear.

As I have a Factory swaybar rear, would the be any damage to other components or just the lower control arm?

How are the mounts on the hub? Do they look damaged?

I'll have to jack it up sometime soon - which is a pain to do..
But I had a look, the Driverside is where its been bent back, although its the passengers side tyre that has been affected?

Check the condition of your sway bar. if you're driving the car like you stole it with a sway bar on it, then there is a chance you can damage control arms. This is especially so if you have a thicker Whiteline (or similar) sway bar on that you have set to be stiff. Nolothane bushes help somewhat in this regard.

It's a stock swaybar, I was thinking of changing the lower control arms with ones from a Verada ( I have some here) and Either take the sway bar off for now, or cut the mounting points off and weld them onto it. (And yes I can weld)
Opinions?

Just a quick update, removed the swaybar mount of the bent arm and welded it onto the new one.
Seems to drive alot better aswell.

Although I got new tires on it yesterday, and they said the tires were worn due to too much toe-in. Would this be due to the bent arm? They are going to check it out sometime in the week for me but is it even adjustable?

If the arm was bent inwards it would create excessive toe in. Don't know how adjustable the back end is, but a toe in check will tell you if anything else is bent. If the arm was bent because that wheel hit something while going sideways, that's quite a possibility.

I think there is a bar just for toe-in adjustment. Toe control arm according to the manual.

Bending that lower control arm so it left a visible bend would have been caused by an event you would surely remember... its not a hollow rod from my inspection (I could be wrong) and to bend that would take some force. As in, the force required to bend it would be too great for the sway bar alone, IF such force was generated at the sway bar/control arm the link mount on either control arm or the chassis would show obvious signs of deflection. The bushes in the sway bar, and the sway bar link, would also show signs of stress.

My guess is you've taken out a gutter either as the rear end came out (over steer), or you taken a blow directly to the control arm... big f@#king rock or a pedestrian in full body armour.
