can someone please tell me how to check if my distributor is bad is there a way to use a tester light to see if theres power going to it

you take a screwdriver an put into each
of the coil leads one at a time

then have a mate turn over the motor
see if the lead arcs to the motor

most carb problems are vaccume related or coil

you test the vacume of the dissy be sucking on the lines of the dissy
