Not an extremely hard process..

Just need the right tools!

- Socket Set
- Spring Compressors
- Jack
- Axle Stands

Crack wheel nuts.
Jack the car up..
Axle stands underneath..
Remove wheels..
Remove suspension..
Place spring compressors on springs..
Place strut back in and undo top nut on strut top
Remove strut top and spring
Place new spring in place
Place spring compressors on springs

Basically just work it backwards

If you're in Brisbane/Ipswich - Unique Mits Bits can do this for you, or you can come along to a workshop day and we can supervise and assist you..

Depends on your skill set, the car and the tools available. If its a third gen the rear ones will require you to get under the parcel shelf car, but all will require the wheels off, you will have to remove various other bolts on the drive train side of things, and then once you remove the springs and shocks you need to remove the strut hat, but first you must compress the spring with spring compressors. Alot of people would tell you ways around using them but you can injure yourself quite a bit if you do not compress the spring.

So depends on how you feel about that, there are some tech docos somewhere on here for more detailed steps on how to do this.

I'd say its safer to keep the nut up top tight by fitting the spring compressors and then loosening the top nut

OCD.. Maybe

Just seems the smarter option.. Seen a few corollas where that didn't go as well as the owner hoped.

But everyone has their own method.. I shared mine.
