hey guys,

well i have had my new Whiteline suspension kit fitted for nearly 2 wks now ... about 2 days ago i started hearing some sort of "croaking' noise from the front of the car ... only very occasionally like going up my inclined driveway at an angle.

today i drove with the HU off and windows up ... and i was shocked as to the amount of noise coming from the front when i turn, go over speed humps and driving up the driveway (obviously my music is too loud)! i have ruled out my new shocks/springs because i dont really hear it while driving along (on shocking Sydney roads  ) ...i reckon it is probably the swaybars.

i was wondering if anyone with whiteline swaybars are experiencing similar problems?

on a more positive note ... i have contacted the mechanic who fitted my kit at Whiteline and he has been very professional about it... brilliant customer service and extremely helpful... if anyone from Sydney wants to get anything fitted at their Minto workshop, his name is Wayne!

I get it with my car as well. Only its at the rear when I go over steep drive ways etc. Its
because when you lower a car and add sway bars etc changes the suspension geometry and
stress points etc or something along those lines.

The swaybar bushes which will now be urethane take a few hundred Kms to wear in, until which point they might be a bit squeaky. Provided they used lots of lithium grease and torqued the nuts correctly (need to check about 500kms after installation) the squeak should go away. Mine were noisy for a couple of weeks too.

Yep, my rear bar squeaked heaps. I undid them, regreased them with some lithum gear and did them up again. No more squeaks. :D

thanks guys :D ... i am a bit relieved now! was really freaking out b4.

i actually got a response from him ... he reckons:

"Could possibly be the front sway bar 'D' bushes grabbing on the sway bar, or the other posibility is that it is coming from the bushes on the control arms, due to the vehicles new lowered ride height"

anyway i will c how it goes in the next wk or so

If it was lowered and the job was done properly, the lower control arm bolts should have been loosened the car had weight put on the suspension and then tightend up as the bushes do not rotate as such.
Bit hard to explain however I have seen many many bushes torn due to lowering without doing this from the twist that is applied to them.
