I know there has already been much debate about the value of a CAI vs Standard induction. However, I have taken the plunge and bought a Weapon R Secret Weapon CAI for my 380 (Aus $300 inlc shipping). However, I am not sure the best way of installing it. Should I remove the standard induction set-up or should I cut a hole in the air box and feed the CAI into it? Any suggestions much appreciated.

Did you buy a generic kit, or one designed for the 380? If the latter, should have fitting instructions with it.

In that clip it replaces everything from the throttle body forwards. (And sucks in hot under bonnet air. CAI?)
Probably heard these arguments before but . . .
380 and Magna intakes suck fresh air from under the leading edge of the bonnet. Any evidence that this is NOT cold air already, or that there are other spots with cooler air?
Induction roar increase does NOT mean extra Kw!
Stainless steel looks good, but it will heat up and conduct the heat to the air flowing in it. Plastic doesn't do that.
Got some beef with the name too, but let that pass . . . .
My advice is that if you do fit it, do it in such a way that you do not mutilate the original components in case you change your mind or want to sell the car some time in the future and need to return it to stock.

Thanks Mate
That is good advice. I must admit being a novice at all this (coming in later in life) I know that I'm quite naive and have been bamboozled by some of the claims being made about mods. I only realised (perhaps too late) that this site allows us to bounce ideas off others first before spending unnecessarty $...too late for me about CAI but appreciate the advice all the same.
Not being nasty but......sell that & do the Galant intake etc.

If that intakes for the Galant or Eclipse it wont work. The airflow sensor on the 380 is totally different & even if you mod it to fit our sensor it wont idle or run properly.
I speak from experience as I tried a Fujita intake, I ended up choping it up & ran it from after the airflow sensor with an adaptor.
