Hey guys,

Has anyone had a problem like this before....

Between the grille and the front bumper bar, there is a gap about 0.5-1 inch.

I thought that the reo support was damaged and holding it down, so I bought a new one. But tonight I removed the bumper bar and everything looks straight, I even got second opinions.

My dad told me I should probably just leave it but it just doesn't look right to me. Every other TJ Magna I have seen, there is no gap.

Thanks in advance.

Probably a broken clip or mount, perhaps post up a pic or how much it is dropping.

But the only thing is that the bumper is solid, you cannot move it up or down by hand. This is the only photo I took before I removed the bumper bar, hopefully I will be able to refit it tomorrow or sunday and will take another pic if it is still the same.

This is how it's supposed to sit:

Top edge of the bar should sit hard up against the lights and grille.

Take the bar off again. Have a look at the two arms that bolt the reinforcing bar to the bodywork. They may be bent. They are quite flimsy and bend easily in a front nudge.

Yeah that's how I want mine to sit, I will put it back together and see how it goes.

I have found the problem. There is a steel bracket bolted right across the top of the bumper bar. It is bent and holding the bumper down. I bent it up a bit and the gap is smaller but I think I am going to have to replace it.

Hopefully I can still get it from Mitsubishi.
