I am keen to fit Bluetooth to my 380.
I want to pick up an aftermarket Bluetooth kit and connect it to the headunit for sound out.
Looking at this pinout diagram found in here:

Is it just a matter of using pins 3, 7 and 8 (3 and 8 for sound and 7 for mute) on the 10P Connector?
Has anyone actually done this (I was unable to find anyone that has with a search of the forum)?
Seems strange if it is this simple, why didn't Mitsubishi do this with the factory Bluetooth units?

Yes, but be aware that you will only get Bluetooth output on the left front speaker. Volume can be adjusted up using the head unit to combat this.

In a roundabout way, yes... But not to add a third party kit - to try and fix shortcomings of the factory system. See my DIY Bluetooth Mod thread.

Yes it does. The factory parrot system is great in itself... but poorly integrated into the 380 audio system. The only explanation I can imagine is that the kit was pushed out in a rush with the launch of the car.

Thanks mate, some great info..
I'm now considering replacing the head unit, for similar money as Bluetooth I can get a new head unit with better functionality and sound.
