just wondering on the 380 where this the igniter for the coil on plug setup??

You mean the crank trigger? The ecu takes the pulses from there then fires the coil packs .....

im lead to believe the coil packs don't have igniter's in them, with the afermarked ecu i need something to ignite them. i can use a skyline igniter, but rather use the factory 380(if it has an external one) if i can

I was halfway through composing a reply when that manual page went up. lol
That page explains it all, really. Camshaft, crankshaft sensors, "igniters" (aka power transistors) integrated into each coil fired by the ECU. Simple.

All coil on plug systems do it this way.

Thanks guys, I had a look in the manual first , but I must of overlooked that page. That explains my question, now onto plan B.
