At the last fill, after getting back into the car I noticed the gauge wasn't at the max point, but slightly below it. I assumed I hadn't filled it fully, possibly due to the car being on a slope.
At the next place I filled it again, but only got a couple of liters in before it started back flowing. Getting back into the car the gauge still wasn't at max but over the next few k's of driving it did eventually climb up to the max point.

Usually the gauge is pretty responsive. Any ideas?

Thanks Mal. I know the fuel gauge normally slows as it nears the max point, but this was really extra slow. Hmm, I'll see what happens on the next fill.

Ok, my bad, no problem past few fills. Dunno what happened on that day, but it's working perfectly now.
