Hi Guys,

Went out shopping to ikea today - big mistake! Luckily I had the wagon and fitted everything nicely in the boot (buying a wagon was the best idea I've ever had, saved hundreds on delivery fees already).

Anywho, I can't seem to put the rear seats back up. It's like they are locked/jammed. I've tried pulling the pins next to the headrests but with no luck, they just won't budge. Have I broken something with the weight of the furniture (i'd be surprised though) or am I missing something here? Is there a special trick to getting them back up? I've checked the joints and they seem ok, can't see anything jamming the mechanism.

Cheers,
Leigh

You need to push the seat back down with some force before you can unlock it while it's in the down position. Just sit on it, push the lock tab, and lift your tail while holding the button in. lol

That seat back is a solid piece of metal, nothing from Ikea can damage it, doesn't feel heavy because it has a massive assist spring. It is meant to lock down, probably the weight of your flat packs pushed it down and locked it.

I've carried some serious weight in my wagon and never had a drama with the seats, do like Max said and it'll be fine.

Thanks Madmax! Fixed in 2 seconds! Spent 10 minutes trying to pull my heart out, never thought to try pushing down first lol.
