Question :
the mitsubishi magna tp sedan glx would not start as it had a rear end collision. the emergency lights were on however making me think it possibky had a immobiliser fitted or it had the etacs (which is only for the elite model, i believe)?
anyway i got the ignition switch lock assembly with the 6 pin plug(black in color) from the mitsubishi magna tp executive and swapped it over with the one in the mitsubishi magna tp sedan glx and it then started ok?
i noticed that the mitsubishi magna tp sedan glx had some extra wiring around where that 6 pin plug plugs into from the ignition switch(compared to the wiring in the same spot/area on the mitsubishi magna tp executive)
it seems to me (just maybe a guess)that the mitsubishi magna tp sedan glx might of had an immobiliser fitted later on in its life after it left the factory floor.
If any of my 3 mitsubishi magna tp series cars have an immobiliser where would i look to find it and what does it look like?
thanks
john
