I got the first one on my TMR and apparently it was the injector seals, at the time i was getting the supercharger updated and they changed the seals and plugs then

Matt

The two are probably related - Evap valve should be closed at idle, hence excess airflow via evap system may trigger lean idle condition

Have a look at the manual p 17.81

Do you have a fairly loud ticking noise coming from the rear of the engine bay?

If you do it's probably a faulty evap purge valve, common problem on 380's.

As telpat16 says, page 17.81 of the workshop manual explains how it works.

Replace that valve and it might fix your problem.

Only 'might' though, I wouldn't go spending the dosh to buy a new valve unless you definitely have the loud ticking noise, on the off chance that it will also fix your error codes.

Treeadyman... thanks for the advice... i found had no such ticking noise, but i pulled the valve out to have a go at opening it up (i found a step by step on a volvo forum) i didnt have any success so i reinstalled it. ... i started the car up cleared the codes and i have the ticking coming from the valve now and no fault code up...
So should the ticking vavle be replaced???

Also guys i no longer have pc its.... dead.... so im using my galaxy tab is there somewhere i can access the manual in tthe past i used the ebay on cd version...?

Anyway thanks guys much apreciated.

Matt,

If the ticking bothers you then replace the valve, if not don't bother.

I think they are around $120 new from a dealer.

Here's a copy of page 17.82 that might help:
