In the process of mounting up the rear 6x9's properly, wherebouts do the speaker cables run along side the car? I want to splice into them. The standard wiring was butchered by the previous owner up at the HU so ideally I'd like to run new cables along the side of the car and join them somewhere near the rear quarter.

If they are tailgate mounted speakers the wiring would run along the driver's side roof lining.

Thanks for that, didn't get that far unfortunately, these freaking kickers are way too big, use a spacer and now the trim wont clip back in ><.

Looks like I need to buy a set of 6x9's with a tiny magnet and just skip the spacers altogether.
