hey im thinking about installing some new extractors soon but theres this pipe thing shown in picture what is this? can i remove it? will i have to plate the hole in the manifold up?

That's the EGR pipe (exhaust gas recirculation). Yes, you should plate the hole up. There will be no ill-effects (no engine warning light or anything). It's basically just an emissions measure.

You can make your own plate, or look around at a wrecker for an older model which has a little diamond shaped plate which fits.

You can buy the headers with the fitment for it if you wish to keep it. I have it on mine.

HM headers retain the connection of the EGR pipe. Varies from one brand to another.
