Hey Guys,

Haven't been on AMC since I sold my TS many years ago, fortunately I have returned to the dark side with an 05 380GT and haven't been happier. I am focussing on the Audio mods first and am having a hard time deciding what I want to run as my source unit, ultimately I want something that sounds, works and looks great but am hesitant on what that is going to be.

So my request of you lads (and ladies) is that you post pictures of what source units you have in your 380, be it single din, double din, screen etc.

Also is anyone out there running the stock head unit and using a processor or LOC ? if so any unwanted noise experienced or heavy equalisation of the stock signal?

Cheers

I fitted a JVC KW-R900BT using the factory 380 ES trim.

Thats not how it is ATM, its got the aftermarket Console surround, which is cheaper, but no where near the quality of an OEM unit..

Thanks lads, after trawling the forums I think the oem surround gives a better finish than the aftermarket item, this has given me something to consider. Anyone running a single DIN unit? Does it look as bad as I am imagining?

Hi Cashie,

I am looking to get the same head unit for my 2006 LS. How do you find it? From all the reviews it seems like the most versatile. I am getting afascia kit so that I can incorporate it into my Air-con. But I won't be doing it myself. I am willing to get it installed by someone experienced.
Like to hear your feedback.

Hi Kevin, the headunit is great, does everything I need, Bluetooth, iPod, and good sound.

thanks that seals it. I have found some great deals on a few sites for it eg Ryda. Surprised that it is under $300 I epxected to pay a lot more.

great. I'll be doing the same. Great colour on your 380. I'll get some pics of my gold 380 LS and put them up.
