Just wondering if there standard evo calipers or sway bars are compatible with the magnas?
Id like to fit evo sway bars & breaks.
I know the evo sway bars are compatible with the VR4 Legnums...

Evo 6-9 brakes fit. You need standard evo front lines, custom rear lines and a spacer from hoppers stoppers(around $90 give or take) for the rear caliper.
Sway bars don't work I believe

Plus rims to fit (just in case the OP wasn't aware).

Sorry to hijack, but would they clear 380 gt rims?

strange that they would fit a Legnum though....maybe its an AWD thing?...

Its also the wheel design, not just the size. The calipers are chunky and stick out more than stock calipers as you have pistons on both side of the rotor. They might still fowl on the caliper

what do your rims look like? we can probably tell you if they will fit by looking at them.

You should do a test fit, as I've seen plenty of 18/19/20" rims that won't clear Brembos because of their design.

The rim he runs are 19x8.5 and the rim itself has a 35 offset I believe... and is running 380 brake calipers at the front...

There is only a few rims on the market that will fit over Brembos. My wheels had plenty of space so i though no worries, I could early get my fist between spokes and caliper. What you need to remember to is you need to run a EVO Rotor that has a differant offset to Magna again. When my was all fitted i was 10mm away from getting my wheels back on after i thought i had way more than enough. They are huge so unless you can fit atleast a mini cooper s in there they wont fit. Brembos are a rather large upgrade that can be costly so unless you have a forced induction car i think you are better off spending your money elsewhere. 380 brakes are great and cheap as hell so that would be a more feasible option in my opinion.

They are BRAKES FFS. You don't break them, why do so many ppl these days wreak their cars when their breaks break.....
Back on topic, evo is a totally different car, sway bars from evo fits an........evo
Only part that can be used are the calipers and the rotors IF you have wheels that will fit, the ones in the pic I can tell you now will not come within a bulls roar

Cost wise for a fwd+ rears is around $600(from USA) for front and back calipers, 640-680 for disks, 100 for rear lines and 90 for the spacer. Oh and pads 260
If you want them rebuilt and painted your looking another 500
So total is about 1730

Hey drmunroe.. Hit up Al.. Megatron for strut and sway bar braces.. He deals direct with whiteline. You will meet him at the QMD worshop day.
As for brakes if you are chasing a good upgrade hit up Sufz on his next group buy KIDOs should clear your rims easily..
Danny..

Front Evo 4-6 strut and spring package should fit I think as well.
Not sure what can happen with the rear though

Honestly, anything larger than the 380 brakes that DRMUNROE already has on the car is not necessary. The car isn't quick enough to make any use out of it. 380 brakes are the best bang for buck, which you already have... so I would spend the money elsewhere on the car... Mal, try braking real hard on that car... trust me... it stops well.

was just curious about the brakes but more interested in the sway bars. got a few friends with evos & they have some stock parts laying around ;)

Chassis is completely different. No chance of it fitting whatsoever.
The look and feel of the brembos are whats often important to those who buy them. Massive wheels + massive brakes = win.

I managed to do that backwards. Massive brakes, small wheels. Then massive wheels, small brakes

I have prob sold and fitted more 380 brake kits to Magna's than there are magna's on these forums with 380 brakes fitted already and I can state simply with the right pads that a set of 380 brakes on a Magna are more than sufficient for street use. Anyone using Brembo's or any of those other brands are simply doing it for show (unless of course they use the car on the track on a regular basis then the only ones I would ever use are Brembo).
If the OP has 380 brakes and is not a frequent racer on the track, stick with the 380 brakes with some decent pads

I had 20s and small brakes that where done, needed pads and rotors all round. I bought the Brembos for Pure Wank Factor then i made the car go really fast = Win Win.
I agree with the above. Outright stopping power from a good set of brakes with good pads and rotors will stop just as quick as those with brembos or those 8piston kidos or whatever they are. Anything more than 380 brakes is just overkill for the street, if you manage to cook them on the road, you arent driving properly. Its just for looks. Hell, the Brembos on my car are overkill.
For the track, Brembos, AP Racing, Alcon really come into their own as they can withstand the constant torment of full braking lap after lap without fading.
