Hi Guys,

There may already be posts about this but has anyone experienced problems with radio reception with the factory system on the 380? I have compared mine with with friends of minw who haev other models eg Ford, Commodore SS and Aurion. I tuned the radios to the same stations at the same location and compared them. The SS performed the best follwoed by the Auriona nd the Ford, mine performed by far the worst with heaps of static. An auto electricianm said that it isn't in the electricals as all works fine and I was told that the factory system in the 380 is a very cheap and nasty Infinity. I don't know what systems are used in the other vehicles. So is my problem the standard of the factory system, the aerial in the rerar window or a combination of both? Would a new head unit solve the problem?

Any help would be really appreciated.

The aerial in the rear window causes bad reception. The stock head unit is fine, the aerial is the problem.

Thanks. Is there a way around that or am I stuck with it?

Mine works fine. There is an amplifier under the trim near the rear window on the drivers side, this could be faulty.

No I don't have any tinting as yet but I have been advised that if and when I do, not to get the metallic tinting as it inetrferes with the reception.

I've got metallic tint, doesn't seem to interfere with my reception but i have heard of others having issues...

okay. Some say you should get metallic for the other windows and non-metallic for the rear. I am going to get a quote from Altapac who have a failry extensive range.
