All,
While doing a dribble - oops I mean inspection of the TJ wagon the other day; I came across a small badge on the right rear of the tailgate saying - Mitsubishi Remanufactured. Anyone know what this means?
Also - off topic a lot. I'm so impressed with how the TJ drives that I'd like to get another Mitsy for myself (the TJ is the dogmobile remember). Had a look at prices on 380's - MAN have they depreciated! I can buy one for not much more than the TJ? :eek2:

My TJ was also re manufactured and had the same badge on the boot lid. From what I remember it meant it was given:
New battery
New carpet
New tyres
New set of keys
Service
3 year Mitsu warranty and road side assistance

Thanks Billy - I was wondering if it had meant more than that - Remanufactured sounds pretty grand.

In this context, it means "tidied up a bit cosmetically". It does NOT mean "Stripped right down to component parts, cleaned up, worn bits replaced, and reassembled."
Just like "production line reconditioned" second hand dealer cars a few years ago really.
Still, new tyres, battery etc are worth having.

Yep, would have been a low km ex employee driven company or ex-rental when remanufactured. Mine came from a life in Hobart with 28000km on it.

Now I'm a bit confused - where COULD or should I have mentioned my being impressed with 380's to the "lesser" vehicle owners? :pleasesign:
