This is getting very annoying.
As some of you may know, I recently bought a 95 TS wagon. Now, it's always had a problem with miss-firing, and it is by no means constant.
It ONLY happens when specific factors are combined. Going up hill (so it's under some load), maintaining a constant speed (usually around 80kph), not accelerating at all, just maintaining the speed.
The annoying part is, I've just spent $800 on the damn thing getting it serviced, and assorted other items replaced (ISC motor, regulator).
Here's the clincher. When I first got it serviced, they had disconnected the battery due to an "air block" code, and they rebuilt the throttle body. Fine says I. However, it continued to stall multiple times on startup (ISC motor) and it had lost a bucketload of power, and it was STILL missing. The reduction in power was immediate, but it didn't start missing for a week or so.....
So, I took it back. They replaced the ISC motor and the regulator (battery light kept randomly coming on) and I asked about the missing. I was told that it could be because of the dud regulator, as voltage fluctuations could be messing with the computer. Anywho, they had disconnected the battery again, which reset everything.
Now, after a week of it purring like a kitten (whilst the computer worked out it's tolerances), with lots of power, it's missing again  Exactly as it always has.
Anyone got some idea's? Because it's so intermittent, and only happens under specific circumstances, I can see that this might well cost me a fortune to fix.
