View Full Version : Installing RHR regulator issue

I've read the many threads on this forum about the dodgy regulators. My RHR broke so I bought a replacement from the wreckers.

I've dismantled the door and replaced however when plugged in nothing happens. Have I got a dud or am I missing something? The other windows work so it can't be the fuse? I've got the power connected to the socket near the motor and the connector to the door.

I took the broken regulator out a few months ago when it happened and chocked up the window. The motor on it was still working but when I plugged that in last night it too is dead. Like there's no power going to that door?

I just want to cover everything off before I declare this regulator I got from the wreckers as a dud.

I would imagine that if you remove the opposite door card you should be able to plug your replacement part into the lhr power supply and test (assuming the socket is the same... im not 100% sure but id imagine it is).
You may also need to ground the unit im not sure if it uses the mounting bolts as a ground.
Worth a try anyway.

Yeah there is enough length in the cable to position the door card in such a way to plug in the switch and test, all you need to do is pull the rubber boot/grommit from the door (easy out and in).

Thats how i tested my new part with out fitting the door card to make sure the window was alligned properly.

Not having any luck with this thing.

New regulator and a new switch both of which plugged in and I get nothing.

Maybe I'm not getting any power at all to that door? Out of ideas.

What can I get for a 2005 DB model 380 lol.
