While on the topic...

Anyone know if it is legal to use these lights all the time in NSW?

Most cars with lights like these seem to always use them, but i have heard that some fog lights are meant to be used, well in fog, and not in normal visibilty.

Just want to know my rights because in NSW some fines have been issued to people.

Its illegal to use fog lights in any other situation other than heavy rain or fog in NSW.

If you are pulled up with foglights on - day or night - in any other situation other than said above you risk a fine.

"Fog lights" being those lower "sport" lights for the record.

Bummer i guess, they sure do make a good difference when there on. So i guess this means the 50 or so XR6's, SS's, liberty's, & every single VRX/sports that i have seen driving at night in the past few weeks have been asking for a ticket?

I must have seen a good dozen Police cars drive right by some of these cars too. Down to the individual discretion of each cop?

Exactly - individual discretion. Its not exactly a high priority thing to book someone with them on. If they were bored or pulled you up for an RBT they might mention or warn them about the lights and in some cases might give a fine but yeah - bottom line they are illegal.

Personally I find them very annoying when cars with those come the other way :doubt:

anyone know if you can fit the driving lights from a TH sports etc to a TH advance?
I did it with my S pack commodore with the lights from a SS and want to do the same for the Magna...........

are you able to simply buy the lights and fit them up? Is the wiring loom etc all there and ready to go?

grateful for any advice and any info from someone that has done this.

Well i know from reading in here that the lights cost around $1000 for the pair..
so you should just do what everyone else does and rig your own up.... for less then $100

As for wiring up, i dont think they would be, as there isn't a switch for them on the blinker switch thing... mmmm not sure really, heh
