Hey guys,

Does anyone here still use the factory CD player in their Magna, if so, does it play discs that you have made yourself, or copied discs?

I just made a playlist on iTunes and burnt it to a disc, but when I tried to play it in the Magna it just comes up with Error 4. It plays other CD's good.

Thanks.

I had no dramas playing burnt audio discs in my old TJ.

I'm presuming you're burning them as audio discs and not mp3/etc CDs?

Yeah they are just audio CDs, only 20 songs on the disc. I tried again and it started to play the first song but the sound was cutting in and out, so I took the disc back out, put it back in, and it came up with error again.

Might be worth trying a different brand of disc? I know some older CD players can be a little finicky with the media used.

I will try a different type of disc and see if that makes any difference. I used a CD-R disc, maybe it needs a CD+R disc. Hopefully that works because I prefer using the CD player over the AUX because the sound quality of the CD is much better I have noticed.

It turns out the CD was faulty. I tried it in my Holden Colorado and the quality was really bad, but the thing was, I have a burnt disc in the Colorado that plays fine and the same brand disc. So I burnt the playlist to another disc and now it works perfect in the Magna. Glad because now I don't have to by a new CD player.
