I recently converted my TP GLX to run a TP ELITE Digital dash cluster but in order for fuel gauge to work, i need to install the Elite digital fuel sender.
Is there a way to access the sender without removing the fuel tank from the car, or do I have to take the tank out, change the sender and re-install it.

Wagon access in the rear wagon load area pull up the floor on the left side and remove metal oval cover (four screws) to gain access.
The sender is the front smaller removable unit closest to back seat.
Sedan access is underneath car as tank is located differently to wagon. From memory it removes easily without touching the tank. Also the smaller unit. Vee

What Vee said but be aware that with the sedan you need to drain the tank first. Also, disconnect the battery first. You do NOT want sparks.

Yup the wagon drain plug is only attached to the fuel pump not the sender.
Can you get the sedan sender out with a low fuel level as been a while since i removed one??
I'm sure the pump on them is only attached to the drain plug as well. Vee

I think so but I don't know how low it has to be. Perhaps magna buff can tell us. The Gregory's manual says you must drain it and I would play it safe and do so.
Edit: When I said "drain", the tank, I meant by siphoning out the contents. That bolt on the bottom of the tank is not meant to be a drain. It is the fuel pump retaining bolt.

Correct but does both jobs admirally.
Used it to drain magna tanks quiteoften as even if you siphon the bolt removal gets almost the very last drop even if a bit slower.
Another way i do it is i have a connector i plug into the socket of the pump if it is still serviceable and connect to 12v power supply and disconnect the return hose from the fuel rail up front and add a longer hose and put the end in a jerry can flick on the power and drain that way.
Often a less messy way and extremely quick!! My favoured way on most cars. Vee
