Hey guys. Trying to sort out if my cruise control switch is faulty.

Going by the service manual, I connected a multimeter to the switch, and the resistances seem fine for the three positions (1.1k, .3k and 3.3k ohms or something) but voltages are wrong. without moving the CC stalk, just under 3 volts (2.8 ish I think) is going through. When I move it to any of the 3 positions (up, pull, down) it is battery voltage (12.whatever V)

Is it likely to be a faulty switch? Or is this normal? From what I could gather from the service manual, I think the CC ECU relies on voltage differences to enable cruise set, resume and cancel (3, 6 and 12 volts)

EDIT: Well, I just did the MUT-free diagnostic steps for cruise control, and the flash code was 14, lack of vacuum motor controls (release/control etc). Checked for 12v at the connector, nope. Traced it back to the brake switch. Crap, the brake switch connector only has 2 (instead of 4) connectors. I was mislead, as the harness has the appropriate wiring (going into the brake switch) but the brake switch itself only has the two connectors, for the brake lights.

Well, I'm going to be going down to the wreckers and grabbing a brake switch next week.
