when fitting 380 injectors to a 3.5 do you have to use the top insulator or do you fit them witout it as the the 380 injector is slightly different :nuts:

they fit in ok, your best bet would be to use your 3.5 ones

You use the insulator cut in half

can they be fitted without as the 380 never had them, reason being , i got impatient and done just that, seems to be running ok

Nope, they will leak air. They are about 3mm shorter without the insulators than the magna ones are with. They will not leak heaps but as time goes by and your new seals harden p will get worse

Regardless of the mechanics of the swap, it may prove not a good idea without ECU changes as the difference in flow rate is sufficient that the ECU can hit the fuel trim limits resulting in permanent rich running.

I running a haltech ps2000. Im looking to increase flow to match the massive amount of air the turbo is going to thro at it... :-)

380 injectors only flow a tiny bit more, youre gonna need bigger ones.
