View Full Version : Where can I find rear seatbelts for my TH Wagon ASAP?
Hi. I've posted a WTB in the appropriate section but in case nobody from here has any to sell, can anyone suggest places to look (preferably around Melbourne) for rear seatbelts for my TH wagon? I need these to complete the RWC for this car since I've sold it. The centre one is OK, but I need the left and right, preferably in black.
I've been phoning all the local Mitsubishi wreckers but nobody has both the belts. Are there any big "general" wreckers that might have these? Other ideas? Ebay isn't working out either.

I probably wouldn't be going to wreckers for seatbelts as a first priority as cars that are there have usually been in an accident, thus likely to be damaged and not safe.
Get in contact with a Mits spare part dealer and get brand new ones? Otherwise give Mal at Mits-fix a call, he will most likely have some sitting around somewhere.
Thanks scorcher93. I found the contact details for Mits-fix but it's after hours now so nobody is there to answer the phone. I'll try them in the morning!

What part of Victoria/Melbourne are you in?
Pick-a-Part in Campbellfield had a few 3rd gen wagons last weekend.
Thanks for the suggestions so far.
I'm in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, so Ringwood / Bayswater places aren't too bad. Really want to get these in the next day or 2.

Get a hold of Mal.
Replacing seatbelts with secondhand ones is illegal, they must be brand new.

Strange - people are happy to sell them.
I've checked "Version No. 009B Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 2009, S.R. No. 118/2009, Version incorporating amendments as at 11 December 2012", "Summary of Seat Belts and Child Restraint Fitting Requirements (2000) (http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/NR/rdonlyres/B3F9BDB7-551F-4C21-BA5A-119CA9719174/0/VSI21.pdf)" and "Roadworthiness Requirements (http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/NR/rdonlyres/AA944BA2-1210-460F-94BF-069159D224F8/0/VSI26web.pdf)" from VicRoads and found nothing stating that belts need to be new.
Anyway, sorted - thanks for the tips guys.
