Hey guys,

On the 12th of December I got my 380 serviced by mitsubishi for the 100,000 km service (needed new brakes and new tyres & allignment plus all the usual stuff so I got mitsu to do it). My car just clocked 104000km and the spanner icon came on. I'm just a little confused as to why that is.
I've checked the oil, break fluid and coolant and all seems to be ok so I have no idea why its come up. Its not due for another service until 110,000kms... still have 6000 to go!

If it helps I usually drive the car for 15 minute intervals but recently I've gone for about 5 1 and a half hour+ freeway drives one way (hence why I clocked the km's pretty fast).

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

It means its due a service, comes up 500kms before (104500) in your case and will go off in 1000kms.

All this info is in the owners manual and can be found on here with a search (there's one thread 6 under this one)

Btw, factory servicing is every 15000kms (not that I'd wait that long to change the oil).

Hope the timing belt and plugs were done too.

Cheers for the reply.

Yeah I read the other thread but I still wasn't certain. So the spanner comes up every 5000km?
If so thats weird, I've had the car since 90k kms (didn't get the manual with it..) and this is the first time its come up that's why I've been a little iffy about it.

I just checked the service log book... mitsubishi did the service for 105 000 km and not 100 000 km...
I didn't even notice until you said the timing belts.. Spark plugs and timing belts haven't been replaced. =/
I can do the spark plugs myself, but what am I looking for for getting just the timing belt changed if you know?
And what spark plugs would you recommend?

Comes up every 15,000kms.

Comes up 500km before a major service is due - so at 89500, 104500, 119500, 134500 etc. I believe it will disappear 1000km after the programmed distance by itself unless it's cleared during the service.
