Recently we had fluctuating idle issues with this 3.0 ltr engine so the throttle body has been stripped down cleaned and the IDC motor replaced. Idle is steady as a rock now. It does seem to take a couple of minutes to drop down from around 1400rpm when cold started. Perfect once warmed up. The most troublesome issue is the surge when pulling up. When the car stops there is a brief rise in ide then a small forward surge then it settles back to normal. Feels more like a transmission issue than engine. Has anyone experienced this type of engine transmission behavior ?
