Hey guys n gals, long time reader but first time poster . . .

I own a 1996 TE executive 3.0ltr 5 speed manual, bought from a dealership 12 months ago at 180k,
recently my clutch decided to slip so i changed it my self(using a great post on here as a reference), always kept the servicing up her, never skipped a beat

now at just on 220k drove to and from work all week no prob till i go to leave Friday and it would wind over, give a cough once or twice like it wanted to start, then just wound over till it drained the battery (which is fairly new with the car but my bad) new leads etc at 200k for major service

Now my research come up with:
Fuel? Unsure how to check
At pressure? Unsure how to check
Spark? Check
Injector pulse? Unsure how to check
Compression? Unsure
Timing Belt? Check (done at 175k still in good condition)

Saw a post that said a lil persuasive tap to the with a hammer is a temporary fix that might help? My car is stuck at my work on the other side of town n since our town has had the worst flood in Bundaberg's history so making it extremely difficult to diagnose and fix, and any help would b greatly appreciated

thanx BOOST

Check your fuses mate. Engine fuse goes often. Did your car get wet at all in the floods (like serious flood wet.)?

Try give a bang on the gas tank, could be a stuck fuel pump also check the obvious, whether there's fuel. Sometimes gauges show false readings. Bounce the back of the car and listen for slushing.
That sounds nasty...

Didnt even think to check the fuses mate, yeah she did get wet but only through flood waters tyre deep(at the bottom of a 15" rim) once or twice but was high and dry during cause it died before the river broke

I know the fuel gauge is working as i filled it like 2 days before the heavy rain started, i was thinking more do I have the fuel at the rails and is it at pressure???
