hey mate
first off welcome to the forum :D
when you say brakes, do you mean pads or discs or other items?
if brake pads, theyb are a 12mm bolt from memory so you will need two spanners(one to hold the nut and one to undo the guide bolt).you will also need a brake pad spreader(think it was called that from memory which helps to push the piston into the bore.if you dont have one, a g clamp and an old brake pad will do but the spreader is cheap from your local auto store
for the TF, there is one avaliable.i have a Gregorys one for my TF and it works well(from super cheap).there are online ones but from memory these were for th onwards?same but different

also i just happen to have my workshop manual while typing this so i will look on how to remove the cv's and such

Tools are best collected as you need them, with some exceptions - helps to spread the cost.
Sets: (Standard kits cost less than sockets/spanners bought individually - look for ones that are made of chrome/vanadium.)
Sockets, 1/2" drive, 10 mm, 12, 14, 15, 17. Plug socket.(Might need to add to these later, like 32 mm for driveshafts, deep sockets, impact sockets, etc)
Ring/open ended spanners,in above sizes.
Also need socket handle, extension bars, etc.
That's for starters.
Torque wrench! 1/2" drive.
Assorted screwdrivers.
Check eBay for prices.

dont forget ratcheting spanners if you have them, they are a freakin lifesaver :D
A spanner set, a decent socket set and maybe an extension will go a long way.
Most common socket sizes in that area are 12, 14 and 17mm. For the top of the shocks i think its a 19mm. Make sure you buy or lend some spring compressors, otherwise you might shoot someone with a strut top.
Edit: What MadMax said. ;)
