does anyone know how to up the line pressure in the trans or anyone who can change the shift points of the box i would like to select 1st gear higher than 45kph.

because when in manual mode on the race track 2nd gear out of corners is way to labourish.
<this is for a race oinly vehicle>

Shift points are set in the ECU, as far as I know.

Line pressure adjustment is possible from outside the box, if I remember the manual correctly.

Good luck making a Magna autobox last under racing conditions . . .

For J, L & W series cars, there are some shift point maps defined in the ECUFlash ROM definition files I've released. At this stage I'm not sure that the shift limits for tippy mode are accessible though; I've still got a lot of research to do in that area... See the thread linked in my sig for more info.

I like your spirit there. That's a similar mentality to me actually. 4 speed auto boxes cost me $150. I look after mine the best I can, if it blows, life goes on. Get another box, have a shit day installing it and start all over again. Tried and tested method.It does beg the question though, why use an auto as a race box? Manual conversions are relatively simple.

kids and missus drive it my lads 9 and 8 so it makes sense plus the manual kit probly costs more than a whole car costs me

So is it a race car or a street car?
Good luck anyway. lol
