has anyone had any luck with sand porting the standard 3.5 inlet manifold. what gains have been found eg torque and where
any recommended places in sa to have these heads worked on

Standard procedure is to unshroud the intake valves and port match the various parts of the intake plenum to each other and the heads.
Done often on performance engines in the good 'ol days, when castings were rough as guts. Probably not worth the trouble on current engines with better casting techniques and 4 valves per cylinder heads.

Only know of one person thats done this & have'nt seen any back to back results.
Going a 75 inlet set-up may be cheaper & better!
I picked up 4nm & 6kw doing this on my built-tuned 75....may be a different result on other set-ups though.
