Seeing as I've been a member for ages, I reckon it's about time I should make my first real post...
I'm after a new set of shoes for my Series 1 TJ VR-X and I have a couple of questions. First of all I have my eyes on a set of 18x8 Tenzo Type-M's in the black/machined lip flavour. What do you guys think?

My first question is in regards of wheel offset. I've been through the latest Vehicle Standards Information sheet (VSI 8) from vicroads, and it says the for a vehicle with "a combination of front wheel drive, McPherson strut front suspension and negative scrub radius steering geometry, no increase in wheel track is permitted unless specified by the manufacturer". I don't know about the steering geometry, but the first two scream out Magna. Therefore, legally, do I have to stick to the +46 offset of the ugly stock 6 spokers, or does anybody know if Mitsubishi says any different? I mean I know the fuzz isn't going to pull me over and give me a lovely new window sticker for the wheel offset, but what if I'm ever in an accident? With all that said though, at the moment I'm interested in getting the +37 offset variant of the Type-M's, if I do get them.
My next question is also about offset, but more in the scheme of fitment. I've played around with the wheel comparison applet at rimsntires.com (http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp), as well as read a bit around on these and other forums, and I've found that the wheel size in terms of width definitely does fit. However, my question is, because I plan on lowering the car with Dobinson or King springs (lows all around), will the extra bit of space from the lower offset be needed on the inside of the wheel wells to clear the suspension and remove scrubbing at full lock due to the extra width? Because if that's the case, I won't even bother with the +45's. On the other hand though, will the lower offset and extra wheel width have any issues with the outside of the wheel well (scrubbing, etc)?
Thanks in advance guys and girls, I appreciate the help :)
PS: I am open for other wheel ideas, preferably black to go with my Sierra Red paint job, but other colours are good too
