Alright, so I installed factory cruise in my TH Exec. Not 100% the factory way though, I went to the wreckers and grabbed an ECU + a bit of the loom, the stalk, vac pump, throttle body etc.

Now, It's not holding speed. I've tried the basics, the vac pump works if If I connect the appropriate pins, the trottle body raises and lowers. Cruise turns on and off fine. If I do the basic troubleshooting, by holding the cruise switch down and turn the ignition on and quickly hit it up, it just flashes on and off to indicate no faults.

When I installed cruise, I didn't swap any looms over. My dash and cluster harness had the wiring, just not the engine harness (the one that goes through the firewall). Essentially what I did was all 16 pins I connected to where they should go, by stripping the appropriate wires at the junctions behind the headunit and tapping into them. CRUISE light comes on, stalk works (can get to diag mode) vac pump has been swapped out, the only thing that's left is the wiring.

Ive tried swapping the CC ECU and vac pump.

If I go into Mitsubishi will they likely have a MUTII around, and will they likely let me plug it in (or they plug it in whatever) and check output codes?

I suspect it could be the wiring (not factory) going to the vac pump, but I doubt it.

Is there any other diag mode that I can use to test the ECU to the vac pump? My old AP cruise kit had a test mode where you could start it up a particular way and press the buttons and bring the revs up to show its functioning.

I did find that I didnt have the correct brake switch which I've corrected. 12 volts at the vac pump with the brakes off.

Sorted this out guys. The speed sensor wire wasn't connected correctly.
