Well everyone...
Just hours ago, I rescued a friend that was stranded about 200k out of town. The rain was pouring and under the moonlight, a kangaroo did what he was born to do... Wreck my front bar..
After many appologies from my mate, they had told me they will pay for a new bar and paint... Or my fantastic under 25 year old insurance fees, what ever is cheaper.
So does anyone know where i could get a bar for an SX S2? or the VRX bar at least?
My foggies were somehow unharmed so I'd like to keep them.

A new one from Mits is about $450, un painted. Grill and head lights alright?

Yeah everything looks fine, it's just a big concave on the drivers side. Hard up against the water tank. With a tear straight down the middle where she didn't want to flex.
Thanks for that! Much cheaper than I expected.

Expect another 400 or more for painting unless you know someone. Priming bare plastic costs more

A panel beater would much prefer painting a brand new bar as opposed to one that needs rubbing back and tidying up if needed. I had mine re sprayed for $300.

So did you get your original sanded back and prepped by them? Or you got a new bar sprayed?

Mine only needed a re spray due to stone chips so it was sanded back then re sprayed. I have been told by numerous painters that a brand new bar is easier to work with....

Alright thanks. Hopefully I find a good price.
