View Full Version : Wagon vs Sedan rear brakes - what's different?

I've searched for hours online for an answer but no joy. Online catalogues list the same part number for pads and rotors for wagons and sedans. I think I read somewhere that the calipers are different?
The reason for asking is that I do a lot of heavy towing and am looking to upgrade my brakes.

The rear suspension on wagons is different to the sedans maybe that's the difference.
The only upgrade I would make on my wagon would be 380 callipers on the front because the rear really just follow along.

The brakes lines exit the calliper differently on the wagon.
If you try and fit AWD or ralliart rears for example, the brake lines exits the calliper and runs straight into rear springs.
Would take a little modifying to fit but should be possible (I have a set of AWD rears but haven't got around to it).
Of course as with sedans you need the spacers as well.
