Hi would you use loctite on this bolt or any thread locker at all?

Can do, but it's not mentioned in the manual. It's more important to do it up to the right torque, in my opinion.

I've done the cam belt change twice (2 different cars) and didn't use any thread locker anywhere with no problems. Bolts didn't look like there is any on them from factory install.

Thanks for that I have done the job and torqued the bolt to 36lb/ft.

36? My manual says 48 Nm. Oh, I see, 36 LB/FT - about the same. lol

(Ignore me, the old school measurement threw me off.)

I did notice some sort of residue on the big bolt that holds the crank pulley on, maybe they used a thread locker there?
