Hi everyone I have a 2003 mitsubishi magna wagon and I was using the front passenger window when it started to play up. I got it all the way back up now none of my power windows work at all. I did just have my battery replaced and noticed the dash was flashing 5. I have checked the fuse and changed the relay but both seem fine. Can anyone please help?
I found that disconnecting the main switches make the rest of the switches inoperable, so this sounds to me like the main switch gear may be faulty.
Remove the main window switch panel and look for burnt contacts - hopefully if you find this, it can be cleaned and restored. If not, a replacement from a wreckers may be in order ?
Good luck.
Oggy.

I assume this model has the inbuilt trip computer. Flashing 5 is flashing S. It's asking for an input to select S for sedan or W wagon for it to calibrate correctly. Pretty sure it's in the owners manual. Can't help with the windows except my RH rear played up since 2yo and could never get it to fail at the dealership. Now totally dead and should have been wty, that's the way it goes sometimes. Never pulled it open to investigate it further.

I removed the power window switch and yes it had a burnt contact. I am going to replace it with a brand new switch. Can you buy a replacement wire loom from power window switches to under the dash?

Would be cheaper to get one from Mal or a wrecker close to you if you're not in his area.

Tj or tl
Edit, see is a tl by your comment. Should not need a loom but in answer no as is part of the main loom
I sell on average 3 or 4 switches per week for this same reason, is the plug melted or damaged?

No the loom plug isn't damaged just got black over the contact. So where is the best place to buy a new switch?

is it just gunk and crap from hot metal and plastic? you should be able to clean any contacts with a little bit of effort and have it work if there's no actual damage.

You can try Mits but most will tell you no longer avail or you can drop past this morning and pick up a brand new one or even a used one if you wish
