Hi Guys,
The time has come for me to depart with my beloved KL GTVi, so I've decided to look at getting a 380. I've been looking at the SIII Platinum Edition. My question is, I like to taillights from the SII VRX & GT models with the "lip" on the tails and bootlid, is the lip on the bootlid actually part of the lid or is it just a spoiler, meaning could I put tails from a VRX or GT on the SIII model???

Your assumptions are correct. But I'd recommend the sx vrx or gt variants, their suspension is far superior to the ES. And by the time add the cost of the tails and the spoiler it maybe worth finding the extra dollars for the premium gt or vrx.

Yep, I’d have to agree. For the bit more it would cost you, I’d look at either a GT or a VRX with leather. Aside from the few exterior differences, there are quite a few extra bells and whistles on the GT which separate it from a Platinum Edition.
In terms of upgrading from a Third Generation Magna/Verada to any of the 380 models, I can promise you won’t be disappointed. I’ve found my GT to be streets ahead of my old Magna in every conceivable detail. You get loads of car for the money.
To answer your question though, the lip spoiler on the SI-II GT/VRX is detachable meaning you could fit one to Platinum Edition for example.
EDIT: You can see the spoiler removed in this picture. You'd have to drill a few holes though to fit it.

Excellent. I've been looking around, and have found a GT model for $15k with 76k on the clock. I can't believe how cheap these are, same as when I bought my verada, I paid $18k for my verada with 30 thousand on it. You get a lot of car for your money!
