Hey guys, this question has probably been asked and answered many times, I just need some more help.
My CEL light constantly comes on, randomly, and I'm not sure what causes it.
Just wondering what options for an OBD2 scanner would be?
I have the "Torque" app on my phone, which scanner works with that app?
I also have an iPad so if there is a better scanner for that, I can also use that
Hope someone can help :)

Magnas don't support OBD2 protocol though the diagnostic connector is the same. You will need an OpenPort cable and Evoscan software. If you only want logging, an OpenPort 1.3D cable is fine. For flashing a TJ ECU an OpenPort 1.3U is sufficient - see the thread linked in my sig for more info about flashing if this interests you. If you are in Sydney, there are several people who already have this gear...

Wouldn't that mean finding out who has one, then managing to get to them when the CEL light is on?
Cause it is random, I washed my car, it came on straight away. Sometimes I drive for an hour or so nothing. Turn it back on and it comes on.

Some codes are stored, even when the CEL disappears. The other thing you can do is read up on using the the indicator light itself to read the code, by grounding one of the pins in the diagnostic connector.

. . . read up on using the the indicator light itself to read the code, by grounding one of the pins in the diagnostic connector.
A few threads on this forum, and a Google search will tell you all you need to know about this.
Check engine light flashes gives you error codes for the engine.
Neutral light gives you gearbox fault codes.
ABS light gives you ABS error codes. (If I remember the manual info correctly)
Try this one:

I have cut and pasted the info on that link to a post on this forum.
