Hi all,
I have a TS Wagon and whilst pottering around it today I noticed that there was wiring (two light blu one with a stripe) going to the back passenger door. There is nothing in that door that uses power.... are they for speakers? I only have 2 speakers, in my dash, so does anyone know if this is for the four speaker system some magnas have as an extra or for something else? I would have taken the door trim off to check but got into other work.
Thanks

I assume they could be there for higher models, either for a courtesy light or electric windows.

I have a '92 TR magna elite, and if thats anything to go by, then they are probably not speaker wires. it has 6 speakers. 2 in the dash, 2 in the front doors and 2 aftermarket 6x9s. It is quite difficult to install rear door speakers on it because it was not designed to have them. But your wagon may be different.

My KR wagon had the roof mounted rear speakers and the dash speakers, I don't know how much changed between the TR and TS models, but thats my 2c.

I don't think any second gen came with rear door speakers from the factory. Dash, front doors, parcel shelf or roof at rear in the wagon are the only possibilities.

Hi,
Thanks for your replies. I see what you mean by very little room in the back doors for speakers, and as it is a wagon the roof mounted speakers make sense....Ill run some wire to the back of the wagon and fit 6x9s in the back. It came with a sony Xplod CD deck going through those crappy dash speakers.... AC-DC is stretching the stock speakers' abilities!

that would be the wire to the puddle light cable

Only the high-end models had puddle lights. The wire was found to be for central locking
