Hi
I have replaced shocks on the front of my TJ wagon but doesn"t seem to have fixed my problem.
My problem is intermittent, sometimes I get a vibration ( I think from the LHS) it is almost as if it starts but if I change circumstances i.e. touch brakes or accelerate it breaks the cycle and stops
This is not a tiny vibration through the steering wheel but quite noticeable whilst doesn't feel bad enough not to drive the car.
Any suggestions appreciated
Thanks Thommo

Depending on km on the car, it could be any one of a dozen things.
So? Km?

Out of balance tyres/wheels.
Worn tie rod ends, tie rods.
Worn ball joints.
Worn bushes.
Wheel alignment.
Worn/unbalanced driveshafts.
Is it recent all of a sudden or was it a gradual over time thing?
Does the vibration change or alternate from good to bad at different km/h speeds? 60 vs 70 vs 80 vs other?
Try rotating your tyres front to back to see what difference it makes.
Get wheels checked for balance.
Get a wheel alignment check.
If you can get your car up on a hoist and feel for wheel movement and bushes/suspension movement (better done by a mechanic)
Some wheel alignment and suspension places do a free check for you.
Could be any of the above that Max has stated, but start with the process of elimination with the easy tasks first.

Sounds like a job for the suspension people local mechanic rotated wheels balanced and aligned but it didn't fix it

Sounds like you have done the basics.
Unfortunately there is a lot of load on the front end of a Magna, and wear can accumulate in a number of places.
My TS spent most of it's life around town, when I took it for a higher speed run (ie 80 to 100 KPH) it wobbled. Wobble stopped under light braking or gentle cornering at speed.
Did the basics, no better.
Checked tie rods, tie rod ends - some play, replaced, no better.
Checked wheel bearings, were ok.
Had discs machined, new pads, no better.
Checked ball joints (requires them to be disconnected), were worn and were replaced. Fixed the problem.
Just a matter of trial and error I'm afraid.

Had something similar on my TH wagon, ended up being the CV's.
