Hi guys,
My 1994 Magna TR had some issues idling and almost like a misfire at 2000rpm taking off from lights, and sometimes uphill etc. I had to replace the water pump at the weekend, and while working on the car I noticed that the hose from the PCV valve is going flat and making noises like a whoopee cushion.
I removed the PCV and can blow through it one way and not the other. and when I shake it it clicks.
I had to do some googling to discover what the PCV was. If the PCV is ok, why would the hose be going flat and making the noise. If I squeeze the hose slightly to make it round again he noise stops.
The car feels a little sluggish pulling away from a stop.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Stuart

PCV valve is ok, but you need a new bit of hose.
Probablky nothing to do with sluggish/misfiring though.

I think this car has finally just about had it. As I left to go get the hose the transmission was in fail safe mode. Put it in L and drove for about 5 minutes, popped it in drive and it worked again. Did the same after turning it off and on again. Is working properly today so far though.

I guess $200 to buy the 213,000km car 16 months ago, one tyre, and one battery and a water pump wasn't too bad an innings.
I will limp on with it for now.
