Hey, 17' x 7' rims will fit 225 tyres, won't they? How is ride affected and handling should be improved a little, shouldn't it? Asthetically, they'd look good, wouldn't they?

Thanks,

p.s. (yeah, I know I posted this to MOGWA and CAA too)

Yes 225's will fit this rim quite easily - aesthetically - it will be a 17" rim so it will have some looks yes - ride handling improvement - over the 205/65 H15 - yes the handling is increased ten fold!!

I have 225's on my stock rims - they look heaps phat as they bulge abit as it is only a 6.5" rim!! 7" should fit nicely!!
225/50ZR17??

I have 17x7.5's running 235/45/R17 Rubber and they are great.

You won't have any problems with fitting aslong as your offset if correct. You will notice a massive improvement in handling.

What about feedback on bumps and stuff?

With those wheels - the difference between stocko and these - will be minimal!! little bumpier - but not uncomfortable!!

You will notice a slight change in ride quality, you will be able to feel more bumps etc but not by much at all. Ride quality on 17's isn't to bad at all. 18's and 19's is another story all together.

with my 18" rims and 235 tyres if you drive through a line on the road (unsmooth surface) you will feel the front wheels pull alot more (like as if your on train tracks)....happens on most fwd cars

I guess road noise comes from the tyre and it's tread as opposed to this size etc?
