Hi, I have have Mistubishi Magna '95 (I believe), and the little metal ring between the two bolts on the positive cable snapped off. I was just wondering if there was a way I could fix it? (like soldering it back on) Or if I will need to just replace the entire cable? (If I do, how do I do that?)

Thanks for the quick reply!

I'm not sure if that would work though... I took a photo so it would be easier to get an idea.

Um, I don't think it is. It's the little metal ring that goes under the fuse box. So, if you look at the photo, it doesn't seem to be part of the clamp itself. :/

*I am only just learning the car's engine* Sorry if I am confusing.

Just go to Repco or similar and for about 3 bucks you can get a brand new battery clamp which has a clamping plate on top, you bare the wires, put the clamp on and then tighten.

BTW you dont have a 95 model, you have at least a TF or later which is a 1996 onwards

Cut end off wire, get the right size of one of these and solder or crimp on.

That looks like it will be about a 6 gauge wire, you will probably have to go something brass by Aerpro as the standard crimp ones wont come in that size.

One of these bad boys will do the job, clamp it down nice and tight and probably get some glue-lined heatshrink from jaycar and lay that over the top of the connector and the wire.
