Would this fit a 3rd gen Magna?
The company advices it would and they say I won't be needing the option facia surround
I don't have much knowledge on head units form other Mitsubishi's, so i'm relying on your expertises.

Doubt that, they just change the logo displayed when it boots. It's just a generic unit, and for that price you can get better on ebay.

At those prices it might be better to look locally for a brand you recognise.
