G'day all
The car is a TR 2.6 fuel injected with auto box 200,000 klms on the clock. Driving along at nearly any speed when you put your foot down to pass or change lanes it goes nowhere, it feels like it is flooding then when you take your foot off it clears then is fine for a while then does it again. So I thought it was time to replace a few things ,first oxygen sensor took off manifold to replace gasket as well this is what I found in the photo, strange looking port no carbon at all, clean as a whistle (strange).Also changed over the mass airflow meter ( had a spare ) no change, new air filter no change, tested throttle position sensor its fine all good .I wonder if the injector can stay on and dump fuel into cylinder at a great rate of knots ( ECU ).Has anybody out there seen this or have any clues. In all the years I have looked after my cars and bikes I have never seen this, any input is much appreciated.

That cylinder - the light gray one - is running lean as. Check compression on it. Could be a burnt valve, or dead injector. Got a spare injector you can stick in there?

definitely running lean to say the least. As Madmax said compression check may be a dead injector or if not a burnt valve which will mean to take the head off and have a new valve and possibly the seat done as well

A quick update
I changed the injector were the light coloured port is no difference.
I have now done a compression test all is good same on all four cylinders.
Now I am thinking it might be the ECU,but I don't have a spare one of those .....bugger..... ( the circuit for that particular injector might have had it )
any suggestions its a bit strange this one. I might have to take it for a diagnostic.
